PJ’s and Pearls Oscar Party February 19, 2015 Feel, See, Taste, The Latest From the Trunk, Unlock Your Home Every Season So awards season is coming to a pinnacle this weekend, Sunday night is the big night for all you movie buffs, it’s the OSCARS! For years I’ve popped open the bubbly and nibbled on shrimp cocktail as I found myself glued to my television and watched the stars walk the red carpet. Shhh… some years, I even busted out the old prom dress to add to my fun. Oscar-worthy parties are a great way to get your friends together to have a little silly fun. You have all seen the red carpet parties or the gold metallic themed Oscar extravaganzas, but this year I wanted to take it down a notch, PJ’s and Pearls! Let’s snuggle in and get comfy this year , here’s how you can make the most of your star-studded evening and still snuggle up with your best pals and even bust out a bit of glam. First, invite your pals over, you could even make it a big kid sleepover! Here’s the dress code: Cozy jammies, maybe some slippers, some playful accessories and don’t forget your pearls! If you feeling adventurous, try your hand at one of those fancy up do’s you see walking the red carpet. Make sure to invite your friends over early enough to watch all the red carpet fun, it is usually on at least 2 hours before the Oscars, this is my favorite part! I love to admire all the celebrity fashion and faux pas, I like to play my own game of Fashion Police! source Second, set the scene! It’s Hollywood glam with a casual twist! I like to use black, white and metallic gold to pull off this look. Here’s a few ideas: source Keep it casual and use gold and black straws! Bonus round-it saves the lipstick :) source Don’t forget about the ballot. I found this printable ballot here Food, food and more food. I like to eat like the rich and famous Oscar night.
